Description Technical Specs   #209 was created with wood too soft to work with, so it was stabilized with resin. Burl is a growth on a tree..a divine addition for beautiful pens. This pen sports Box Elder in its natural coloration. The burl, or burr as it is named in England, is something of a malignancy in which there is grain patter in every direction imaginable. The distinct differences in the grain of this pen were caused by the end and side grains of the burl. The distinct cells being the end grain and the striated being the side grain.
